4. Waclaw KOBERSTEIN

I found Waclaw Koberstein in a Philadelphia Passenger list with the final destination of Portland Oregon.  His father who is still living in Germany is named Christian so it seems to fit this family.  He arrived on 25 Nov 1911 and was living Berglein Germany and his closes relative is is father Christian living in Madrea.

Waclaw listed in 1920 US Federal Cencus, Portland Oregon as Partner to Christian James with age of 28 (calculated birth year 1892), immigrated 1911 working as sawmill laborer.

Per Death Certificate he was born in Pridseek, Poland.

Mrs. Koberstein died June 6 in Santa Maria, Calif., at age 93.
She was born Dec. 19, 1901, in Bruderheim, Alberta. Her maiden name was Sampert. She moved to Portland in 1919.
After World War II, she moved to California and worked for Security First National Bank until retirement.
She returned to Portland, then moved back to California in 1991.
Her husband, Waclaw, died in 1941.
Surviving are her daughter, Erma V. Bartruff of Nipomo, Calif.; twin brother, Louis Sampert of Edmonton, Alberta; sisters, Matilda Hauenstein of Portland and Antonia Jantz of Kelowna, British Columbia; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
