2 CONT Hans Koberstein was born on 3 July 1864 as a first child of petrol 
2 CONC Lessings sister Bertha (1844-1914) and Karl Koberstein (1836-1899) in 
2 CONC Schulpforta. His father, son of the literature historian August 
2 CONC Koberstein (1797-1870) [ 31 ] , was royal of Saxonian yard actors in 
2 CONC Dresden, where also Hans's brothers and sisters Odilia Elizabeth 
2 CONC (1867-1945), Kaethe (1868-1943) and Fritz (1873 to 1942) were born. After 
2 CONC the High School Hans Koberstein visited the Dresdener academy of arts for 
2 CONC three years and changed at the beginning of 1886 to Berlin, in order to 
2 CONC begin in the studio of its uncle Lessing training there as decoration 
2 CONC painters. At the same time it visited the teaching institute at the royal 
2 CONC museum of arts and crafts, where it beside Lessing in particular max of 
2 CONC Friedrich cook (1859-1930) [ 32 ] as the decoration and historical-scenes 
2 CONC painter trained. Lessing and cook, latter since 1889 married with 
2 CONC Lessings sister-in-law Betsi Gude, let Koberstein cooperate in own 
2 CONC projects and transferred him soon independent work. First larger tasks 
2 CONC were 1886/87 the cooperation at the decorative equipment from Hermann end 
2 CONC (1829-1907) & William Boeckmann (1832-1902) sketched Erbprinzlichen

2 CONC by Adolph v. Heyden (1838-1902), (destroys). [ 34 ] 1889 became 
2 CONC Koberstein member in the association citizen of Berlin artist [ 35 ] , 
2 CONC the general German art cooperative and citizens of Berlin the arts and 
2 CONC crafts association. it made 1890 independent with a studio for decorative 
2 CONC painting, married themselves arts and crafts and graphics in Berlin and 
2 CONC 1895 Gisela latch plate, it the children Ruth (* 1896), Hans Gotthold 
2 CONC (1896-1944) and Annelise (* 1902) bore. On behalf of the pupils of the 
2 CONC academy of the arts Berlin Koberstein illustrated a congratulation 
2 CONC address to 9 May 1893 on the occasion of the 50sten of birthday of the 
2 CONC director of academy Anton von Werner (1843-1915), who was married with a 
2 CONC cousin petrol Lessings, Malvida Schroedter (1847-1901). [ 36 ] In 
2 CONC co-operation with the pupils of the teaching institute to museum of arts 
2 CONC and crafts created Koberstein starting from 1899 under the direction of 
2 CONC cook wandmalereien for buildings of the Prussian federal state parliament 
2 CONC [ 37 ] and the manor-house in Berlin, sketched by Friedrich Schulze 
2 CONC (1843-1912). [ 38 ] 1906 were assigned Koberstein a wall painting for 
2 CONC traffic and building museum in the former Hamburg station in Berlin. 
2 CONC Destroyed, the achievements of the technology and the human inventor

2 CONC angle ". 1909 were transferred it painting the Goerlitzer public library. 
2 CONC [ 45 ] Over the later work years little is well-known. 1944 wrote 
2 CONC Koberstein the manuscript " my uncle petrol ". Parallel to it petrol 
2 CONC Lessings daughter IDA Caren wrote the Biographie of its 1941 of "pleased" 
2 CONC brother Robert " my brother petrol Robert, called Bob ", which represents 
2 CONC a further source of information to the personality Lessings. [ 46 ] Hans 
2 CONC Koberstein probably deceased on 24 January 1945 in Berlin.
