The index covers years earlier than1889 but I didn't have time to search them.

(1) This Mary is most likely a Koberstein which was miss spelled to Kobelstein (perhaps in the index only as others were), but not Mary Koberstein's of the right calculated age are in the data base.  Furthermore no connection is deducible.

(2) This Catherine is most likely a Koberstein which was hard to read in the index.  No Catherine of the right calculated age is in the data base.  Furthermore no connection is deducible.

1871	John Koberstein died at 7 years, 11 months, 29 days on 12/22/1871	Died on McDougal Street, 21 Ward, Brooklyn, in city since birth father and mother born in Germany. Thus Calculated Birth date is about 1863. Its interesting to note that the index had the last name spelled as Koberschein but the certificate is Koberstein
1872	Casper Koberstein died at 63 years on 7/22/1872	Entry of place of death could be 117 MacDougal but unclear on the street name. It is the 21st Ward. Died at 63 years 8 months and could not see any entry for days. Parents born in Germany. Vocation is Carpenter, place of birth is Germany. 26 years is entry after birth place but can not make out what it is but it may be years in US, in any case the next entry on the next line is years resident of city which is 19 years.
1879	Anton Koberstein died at 59 years 4 months on 10 April 1879	Entry of place of death is 149 Mc Dougal (clear), burial at Holy Trinity. Died of Cancer of Stomach (primary) Born in Germany as were both parents. 30 years in the US and 27 years in city.
1886	Mary Kobelstein died at 81 years, 9 months, 11 days on October 27, 1886.	She and both parents born in Germany. Died at 198 Marion. Lived in US and city for 46 years. Two families living in house. Died of “Old Age”. Certificate delivered to Mr. Kobelstein at 3 pm October 27th. Occupation, housewife.. Buried at Holy Trinity on October 30, 1886.
1888	Catherine Koberstein died at 37 years, 8 months, 27 days on May 2, 1888.	Born in New York, occupation housewife, Lived in city 30 years, in US for life. Death at 969 Herkimer Street (looks like 5th ward). There was 6 families in that location, on the 2nd floor. Certificate delivered to Frank Koberstein at 6 pm May 3rd, 1888. Buried at Holy Trinity May 5th, 1888.

Father is Audrent and Mother Brine Bechtold. Wife residence was 357 Marion Street at age of 29 born in Brooklyn, N.Y.Father name is Emil and Mother is Ida Herbet. First Marriage of both.
1904	Koberstein, John married Sarah Goeller. Both with residence of 171 Sumpter Street. He was 27, she 31. He was widowed. She was either widowed or divorced, couldn’t make it out. Both were born in Brooklyn N.Y. His father was Andrew and her father Carl. His mother was Bina Bechtold and her mother name was not given or very unclear. Last of all it lists it as a second marriage for both., so the entry above was widowned most likely.
