This is a biography formed from a few newspaper articles from the Deer Park Tribune. Deer Park, Washington is located in this map.
This is near Spokane and Nine Mile Falls where many of the Martin Koberstein family lived
This newspaper entry for January 21, 1955 indicates that August Herman Koberstine had a cold but his wife, Almeda was in the hospital undergoing an operation.
This January 28, 1955 newspaper article indicates that Henry Koberstine among others celebrated Grandma Koberstine's 73rd birthday, which was Sunday January 16th. This means that Grandma Koberstine was born January 16, 1882. So this would be Grandma Almeda Anna Koberstine nee Lynch
The April 15, 1955 newspaper column indicates the A. H. Koberstine family moved to Spokane at 3418 W. Heroy. They had lived "on Four Mound for many years". Apparently Mr. and Mrs. Emil Brandt and Dorothy were dinner guests at this new location.
I was unable to locate the city or village of Four Mound. The entry for the newspaper makes it seem like a community but maybe not.
Now we jump all the way to February 14, 1974 and back in Deer Park we note that Karen S. Koberstein was admitted into the hospital.
I don't have any records of a Karen S. Koberstein.
And lastly in the May 2, 1974 article we see Hazel Koberstine being discharged from the hospital.
This appears to be Hazel Wottlin who married John E. Henry Koberstine. Here is a grave stone for him with the nick name of Hank.
The book entitled "Welcome to Nine Mile Falls" by Margaret Sontag and Benita Mason indicates the involvement of the August Koberstein Family in this community.

John Frazer, August Koberstine and Ed Collins were stalwarts of the township from its beginning. Walt Collins followed in his fathers footsteps in the township. Mr. Koberstine was also active in the Community Club after its formation

Here is a photo from the Abbott School on page 98
And another from 1932-33 on page 113.
Here is a map of the Nine Mile Township on page 143

Geiselman lived adjoining the Knights Lake property; Henry Rose on Four Mound; John Frazer, Walt Collins, and A. H. Koberstine up Turfey Grade; John Chick, C. E.
