Developments in stories the Democrat-Herald has been covering in recent months:

DUCK FIX-UP STALLED — The owners of Arma-Fab & Design of Albany have completed repairs to the Waverly Duck, which went in for an extensive fix-up last July. Brothers John and Nick Koberstein of Arma-Fab donated about 20 hours toward recoating the 350-pound replica of a male wood duck that bobbed for years in Waverly Lake. They also attached a steel bar to which an anchor will be attached. Steelco Inc. donated the steel, and Sherwin-Williams will provide paint for the final spruce-up part of the project. The Kobersteins and the Democrat-Herald have left several telephone messages for the owner of the duck, asking whom he wants to paint the duck. Calls have not been returned, so for now the status of the duck is uncertain.
