Are PSU students safe on campus? Three men attacked a student in his on-campus dorm room, leaving some wondering whether or not they're safe. A terrifying attack at Portland State University has some students wondering if they're safe living at the downtown campus. It was a Saturday night, and there was nothing suspicious about the man at Joel Koberstein's door. He asked for Jenny. When Koberstein told him there was no one there, that's when two thugs appeared out of nowhere. "They tackled me into my apartment and before I knew it, I had three men surrounding me in my living room," said Koberstein. "I felt like I was fighting for my life." He was beaten and blindfolded. The men ransacked his apartment, stole his wallet, cell phone and keys and then vanished. Koberstein has no idea who they were. There is a security door door downstairs, but he said a neighbor thinks she may have let the guys in. "It's kinda like a social faux paus to tell someone that they can't come into our building." PSU is reminding residents not to let strangers in. But, the corner of the campus near the I-405 freeway is notorious for theft and robbery. In the meantime, Koberstein sent an e-mail to all his fellow students warning them to keep their guard up.

Subject: A message from the Minority Leader
Dont worry, weve taken steps to ensure that you wont be receiving those long, rambling, and unbelievably annoying democratic emails any longer. No need to mention your gratitude as Im sure you feel nothing short of great relief.
You must be wholly nauseated by the amount of pandering to ordinary working Americans that goes on in the Democratic caucus. I know, it is equally cold-hearted of us to ignore the plight of those poor corporations as it is to ignore the burden that taxes place on the top 1% wage-earners. Unfortunately, we cannot help you with your plans to implement fairness into the tax code by giving those poor corporations and under-represented wealthy folks a huge tax break that sends the country deeply into debt.
Cheers!
