Good weather attracts big numbers 6:00pm Friday 13th May 2011 Kidderminster Shuttle http://www.kidderminstershuttle.co.uk/ TENNIS: The good weather attracted almost 40 players to the start of season tournament at Bewdley Tennis Club. Seven visitors from Bewdley’s twin town Vellmar also took part. Visitor Frank Koberstein made it through to the semi-finals along with Sue Hatt, Tine Sylvester and Nick Bell. Sue Brennan and Jack George-Burnell beat Alison Rosoman and Pete Mauger in the final. The Term Time Tennis initiative, aimed at encouraging more women to play tennis, has also begun.
